A Guide To Osaka

Osaka is a cosmopolitan city that is a little different from other parts of Japan. The second-largest city in Japan has a blend of amazing ancient history, space age architecture with ultra-modern attractions. It is also famous for its delicious food and drinking culture, and its nightlife in Umeda that’s full of music, lights and outgoing people.

WHERE TO STAY?

We decided to stay at the timeless luxury 5-star hotel The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. This hotel captures the essence of Osaka, and its attention to detail never disappoints. It is also situated in central district and is very close to many famous site seeing areas.

Everything from the hotel lobby, to the dining areas inspires a feeling of sophistication, a similar sophistication out of The Great Gatsby or Mad Men. We were also lucky to experience ‘The Superfood Stay Package’ at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka offers a diverse collection of vacation packages in one of the world’s most exciting destinations. From luxury spa sessions to indulgent dining offers to romantic excursions and The Ritz Kids Night Safari, there is certainly something for every preference and occasion.

The Superfood Stay & Amenities Package
·      Overnight accommodations
·      60-minute Spa Treatment
·      Dinner for two in Italian restaurant, Splendido

Dinner at the Italian restaurant Splendido

Splendido is the ideal destination for Osaka’s most genuine, Italian experience. I absolutely loved the casual yet stylish Italian dining set in a Toscana-designed villa. We were served with the Summer Super Food package as seen below.

60-minute Spa treatment

A spa treatment is essential after long hours of walking and exploring around Osaka. At The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka spa, the English luxury ESPA ingredients and age-old healing practices blend seamlessly with modern therapeutic techniques. After the spa treatment, stress melts away, and helps balance your body and steady your spirit.

SEE & DO

Osaka Castle
Once the largest castle in Japan built in the 1580s, this castle is wonderfully laid out and has an observation platform that provides a 360-degree panoramic view of Osaka. The museum also provides an insight to the interesting history of Osaka, along with beautiful art and artefacts. The best time to visit is during the cherry blossom season, when the grounds of the surrounding parks are sprinkled in pink petals, perfect for the insta-worthy shot!

Dotonbori
Dotonbori was definitely the highlight of my Osaka trip. It is a must visit place that includes everything, from theatres, food, entertainment, bars and nightclubs. You MUST take a touristy shot with the Dotonbori sign.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ)
Get ready to spend your full day at USJ! The theme park is huge, and every corner brings a different surprise. The must-go-to rides includes Jurassic Park and Harry Potter.

I can’t wait to go back and hope you guys enjoy your trip to Osaka!
