Does Youthful Skin Come Down to DNA?

People in their mid-to-late 20s think they’re at their peak, they’re invincible and that they’re never going to age.  They believe they can still get away with one-too-many vodka tonics and 5 hours of sleep without it having an impact on their skin. However, the reality is that youthful skin comes down to a decent lifestyle and quality skincare products.

I can’t emphasise this enough, it’s never too early to start using anti-ageing skincare products. I have recently discovered Olay’s latest reformulated Regenerist Luminous range, and was curious about their claims to visibly transform and reveal pearlescent, glowing skin in 28 days. The newly added Pearl-Optics Complex within the reformulated products enhances the skin’s dewy radiant aura by improving brightness, skin tone and hydration, while visibly reducing the appearance of dark spots. It’s a known fact that preventing visible skin ageing is far easier when incorporating a regular skincare regimen from a young age. So, here’s my skin secrets to achieving glowing, healthy skin and a long-lasting youthful appearance.

To achieve optimal results, Olay recommends that you create a skincare routine with the three Olay Regenerist Luminous products by following these steps in the morning and evening:

The creamy hydrating formula with gentle exfoliates, cleanses to reveal skin that’s highly defined, brighter and more luminous in appearance. It’s a gentle formula that works for all skin types (normal, dry, combination, or oily) which should be used in preparation when applying the Olay Luminous Treatment and Olay Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream.

Next, I apply 2-3 drops of the Olay Tone Perfecting Treatment into the palm of my hand and apply evenly, focusing on areas of discolouration. This treatment penetrates 10 surface layers deep, to help diminish dark spots and accelerate skin’s turnover rate to reveal the natural pearlescent glow of your skin. It is fast absorbing, non-greasy and has a lightly scented formula.

I finally massage the antioxidant-infused Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream evenly onto my skin which delivers tone evening ingredients deep into the skin’s surface for brighter, beautiful and healthy-looking skin. Apply this cream to your skin each morning before applying makeup, and at night after cleansing.

I strongly recommend you check out Olay’s three core boutiques: Regenerist, Total Effects and Luminous (Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream, Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Treatment Essence) as I have seen dramatic differences in my skin, revealing a more stunningly youthful, ageless and glowing appearance.

• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) boosts cellular turnover, reduce the look of dark spots and maintains skin’s moisture
• Sepiwhite and Hexyldecanol: Reduce look of dark spots
• Glycerin and Xylitol: Increases skin hydration
• Sepitonic: Improves light reflection within skin
